You know Farrah is really pissed about his timing…

Wacko Jacko is dead.

Sigh.

I suppose we’ll be hearing about this for the next eleventy hundred years.

Britain Obit Michael Jackson

And of course it’s begun already: deejays and entertainment reporters who’ve mocked Jacko’s various idiosyncrasies and legal problems over the years are now mourning the loss of “one of the greatest performers of all time”; the endless testimonials from tearful fans telling their stories about the first time they saw Michael moonwalk (we all saw that special so get over it); those nutjobs keeping vigil outside UCLA Medical Center (what does that shit prove, may I ask?); and the outrage over the supposed last photo of Michael on the ET website (hey, it may be tacky but when your life was a circus you gotta expect there to be gawkers).

Why can’t we just remember the good times and move on?

(Any guesses how long it will be before the first tabloid declares this whole thing to be an elaborate ruse by The King of Pop to escape the glare of the spotlight — and his financial woes — and start a new life in New Zealand? And since celebrity deaths always come in three, any guess who the next two will be?)

  1. Wasn’t a fan. Didn’t really like his music ever. Too mainstream.

Farrah and Ed McMahon preceded Jackson in death so the trifecta was completed when he died.

  2. Wasn’t it Ed McMan and Farrah who were the first two…..
Dirk says: …I thought it was the D-E-F trio of David (Carradine), Ed (MacMahon), and Farrah (Fawcett).

  3. I was surprised to hear of Jacko demise. He was so looking forward to his London tour. Jacko was all a flutter upon hearing that Harrod’s had boys pants half off. Micheal and I share the same birthdate of August 29th. I can remember when he was still black. ABC, easy as 123, abc that’s how easy love can be..ohhhh!

  4. Never was a fan, so I don’t understand all the hoopla. I don’t know why MTV and CBS felt it necessary to run continuing specials on him last night. As a local radio dj said this morning, he was a talented artist, but he was also a pedophile, socially retarded freak. His words, not mine.

  5. Everything you said here was what I was thinking yesterday. I love the musical legacy he left behind, his was the first concert I ever attended, but the rest of it… Well… let’s just say the media is full of hypocrites.

  6. I don’t read tabloids so I don’t know if its there yet, but I’ve already seen the conspiracy theories on some blogs that MJ is not really dead.

  7. Oh, yes, this is Elvis all over again. Michael Jackson, or Elvis 2.0.

  8. And Farrah may be pissed off, but Mark Sanford has been pah-RAYZ-ing Jeebus since yesterday evening.

  9. He WAS the elvis of our generation. I’m tired of reading this morning how some people didn’t care for him. Show a little respect!
