Woman: I’m looking for a book…Soloman Soloman…or Solemn Soloman…something like that. It has 2 words in the title.
Clerk: I’m not finding any listing for either of those…do you know what it’s about?
Woman: Well, it’s placed in 1864 so I’m guessing it’s non-fiction.

It’s times like these when I question our place as the most intelligent species

I’m looking for a book called Get Wind or Gone Away Wind. I think it is set in 1864 too. They may have made a movie of it I’m not sure. Some guy who looks like James Brolin was in it I think. The book was real thick. I read it years ago and there was a lot of parties and get togethers in it. A skinny guy and a handsome guy were fighting over a southern belle. The fight turned into a war and a lot of people died but in the end the really smart lady said tomorrow was another day.

I’m looking for this book, I think it’s called, “Mensch before Christmas.” It’s about a guy who steals stuff on Christmas but that doesn’t make any sense ’cause a mensch wouldn’t do that. And he probably wouldn’t care about Xmas because aren’t mensches Jewish. Oh, is Hannukah about stealing things from Christians? Maybe that’s what it’s about.

Yes, that advanced “fiction” technology wasn’t invented until the late 70’s/early 80’s, shortly before the compact disc caught on in popularity.
