Time is running out…

A desktop Mac or a laptop PC?  Vote already, people — I’m buying something tomorrow!  I need help making this decision!!!

Oh, and get those Mailbag Monday questions in already!  You only have 4 days left — time’s a wastin’!

  1. I’m on an iMac, so I say go with it. It’s so very user friendly, and the new software for the operating system will allow you to access non-mac/apple documents.

  2. I vote Mac because the guy on the ads is so darn cute.
Then I think Blayne is cute on Project Runway. He’s so Blaynalicous! I hated to see Keith go, what a man!
Am I the only one who thinks McBush’s Vice-Pres pick looks like Tina Fey? SNL are kicking themselves for letting her go, oh the skits they could do about dogsleds and slutty teens. Oh I forgot, NBC is owned by GE, sorry, they can only make fun of Democratic hopefuls.
Get the Mac and don’t look back. (The latest Microsoft PC is like a Mac 85 so even if they upgrade soon you’ll still be way ahead)

  3. I am as confused as you. Maybe more so.

  4. I’m thinking one of those 100 dollar designed-for-the-third-world laptops!

  5. MAC MAC MAC (that should count for 3 votes)

  6. I think that after the convenience of a laptop that you’d find the desktop too restrictive. Of course, you do like to be tied down…

  7. MAC!!! I’ve never regreted changing.

  8. The MAC desktops are nice and it will look good in your apartment. Not to mention that they have a webcam so you can broadcast from your bedroom. HOWEVER (I’m sure the last probably made you paranoid so I’m sure you will get a laptop) you can get a good laptop for a little more than half the cost and you have to remember that you cant travel with it or move it from room to room (always going to watch porn at your desk/table?). As much as I like MAC’s get a laptop.

  10. MAC

  11. We have both and I’d say go for the Mac. It would be a much better investment in the long run.

  12. Mac. Totally.

  13. Depends on whether you intend to compute away from home a lot. If so, go for the laptop; if not, the desktop.

  14. Gotta go against the greater flow. Go for the laptop. Macs may be cool & artsy, but they’re still ‘way overpriced and a hell of a lot slower than a PC. Upgrades are also tu-tu pricey. Plus, PC laptops are now out in tons of cool colors. Mac comes in white only – even when the iPod came out, it was white-white-white, unless you wanted to pay more $$$ for a shiny black one. Stick with the PC laptop-you & The Fella can cuddle on the sofa or in bed & blog together.

  15. Sorry to add-on, but I forgot – the basic insides of a Mac that used to make it stand out against the PC was its processor – which is now made by Intel. So, with Mac, you’re paying much more for the same basic “brain”.
