Someone is dead by page 100. Brace yourself.
And why start with the first one. The first two were kind of lame. Start with the third.

You can tell me how long it takes to read all the books.

I never read the books and only saw one of the movies. I can’t even remember which one. There was a cloak of invisibility. I seem to remember them flying around on brooms. Is there a cliff’s notes version? Those books are so thick.

I’m halfway through (taking a quick blog break).
I won’t give anything away, but, it is riveting!!!

Paul and I got our copies late morning and I proceeded to read the whole thing cover to cover.
Of course I’ll have to go back and read it again in a month or so because I stormed through it so quickly, but it was amazing. Loved. It. There’s no way I would be able to reread all the other books if I had the seventh laying around just waiting to be read.
You’re a much stronger person than me, Dirk Mancuso.

You mean you don’t wanna know that they all die at the end?? Oops.

We all die at the end. Oops. Are you sure Steven isn’t really Brooke? I bought book one at walmart for $6.87. Softcover. Still it has the same words as the Hardcover. I read chapter one and it tells how Harry came to live with the Dursleys and how he got his lightning scar. It is always best to start at the beginning.

Just amazing! The book is action packed from start to finish. Be prepared to do nothing for about two whole days. I wish I could say more so, I will….read the first 6 damn quick!!!

No spoiler from me, Dirk. The book is an absolute masterpiece. Just beautiful. You’ll enjoy it.

How the heck can you do that? I finished the whole thing already….couldn’t put it down.
And I am going to read it again. But I don’t think I could have concentrated on reading the first 6 again…..

Dude. Read the last fucking book NOW. The details will not stay secret for long, and it will ruin it for you. Seriously. Read it now– fast!
(and yes, I’ve finished it)

I broke down. I went and bought “Half-Blood Prince” and “Deathly Hallows” Saturday after work. In just a few hours reading, I’m nearly done with Prince so I can take the final book with me for light vacation reading.

Bought it Saturday morning. Managed to read the first 457 pages, despite having to attend a family function (and believe me, I asked my sister why she would think of planning my nephew’s b-day party for the same day as the release of HP&TDH). Was in agonies yesterday because I had no time to read any more. And now today…I’m not getting out of bed until I am through!

I got it Friday night at 12:12 A.M…. I tried to stop… I really did… I wanted it to last… I finished the book Sunday night around 8… I’ve even reread the last couple of chapters over again… It’s sad that its over, but what a great ride…

Too much camping (about half the book) and too much lugging around crap that isnt used. Lot of people die. Snape is good. Ron & Herm, Harry & Ginny – open for a sequel with the kids.
